'Our Dreams vs. Reality' grew from my aspirations to be a professional photographer. When I was younger, I wanted to be a soccer player but my dream slipped away when I didn't make the traveling soccer team in the 7th grade. Working downtown, I wanted to find out what other working professionals wanted to be when they were younger and also what they do now. This street portrait series consists of a cross-section of a diverse mix of people in downtown Minneapolis. On lunch breaks and after hours, I would walk around downtown seeking possible subjects.
